In 2004 I published an MSc research thesis on the 'Habitat preferences of terrestrial vertebrates of Weipa, Cape York Peninsula', which showed that the Cape's woodland habitat is as rich in terrestrial mammals, birds, reptiles and frogs as swamps, creeks and mangrove habitats.
